I'm extremely happy for a 1st gen dbl cab option. My oem plastic rack is on its way out which will leave 8 sertnuts in the roof.

Cabrac users with 40" light bar mounted, are you experiencing glare? what level of glare? what type of bar are you using? what type of optics (spot, driving, flood? how are you combating it?

    Same here.

The rear one on mine is mounted vertical to clear the shark fin. Drilled an extra hole on each side rail for the second bolt hole.

Thanks @Naveronski & @RedBeard1. I get some noise from time to time and thought maybe that bar needed moved back a little. Maybe I just need to order the noise reducing trim piece.

Yeah the trim is the way it go.. The only time I hear mine is in a cross wind.

I also have clear bra material across the top of my cab where the trim goes to prevent the paint from getting damaged there. Had a camper seal rub through the paint on my 85 Toyota cab so the clear stuff will slow that down.

Love the way the rack looks!! It is damn loud tho, I've already installed the plastic t slot covers and waiting on my noise reducing trim hopefully that makes a significant difference.

Not sure if there's a difference in design but I bought the rack used and he had it for a year. I have the fairing at the lowest connection yet it's still 1/2" clearance. I thought some of yalls were damn near touching the roof?

You probably need to slide the whole rack backwards

20170622_100547.jpg It's on. Failed with the weather strip. Easy enough fix for later.

Yep. Tried the holesaw method . The but grabbed while doing the middle hole and blew the side out.

No biggie. Just going to cut my own rubber strips and 3m them down.

What kind of noise are you getting? Whistling, howling, humming/vibration, etc. can be fixed with adjustment but elevated levels of normal 'wind on metal' noise is part of the deal in my experience.
