So after long delay (I also haven't been on TW for quite some time thanks to my last year as an undergrad, good to be back to reading and catching up!) I'm FINALLY starting my TSB voyage here in Laramie, Wy.

The (st)(d)-ealership parts and service manager has "heard of such issues" but is unsure whether or not my 09 qualifies. I know this has been beaten to death, but have there been any keywords, tips, tricks I can use against the powers that be that will help me ensure they take care of me?

Again, great to be back, and forever thankful. :D

Pretty sure it applies to your rig. The TSB is posted somewhere around here- If they say they don't find anything- I'm sure you can provide it to them!!

    Welcome back!!!

Thank you! Yes I have it printed out and everything (again thanks to the search button here on TW:D) -- but the guy on the phone made it sound like he would only trust documents printed from his own personal printer... he's supposed to be calling me later this afternoon.

We'll see how reliable his word is... as for now, just hoping I won't have to be driving down to Colorado to have this finally done!

Skip arguing with the dealership completely! Call the 1-800 toyota number (just google it i'm sure you can find it). Once you call toyota, tell whoever is on the line with you that while you are driving the back end of your truck bottoms out constantly over small dips. They will let you CHOOSE the dealership to schedule an appointment at for a TSB and you can skip arguing with the service advisors at the stealership

 I considered doing the same thing jbob

As for the question, if all else fails, call up Toyota HQ and talk to them about it. Ask if your truck qualifies and that way you can take that to the dealer. If the dealer won't do it call them back and they will make the dealer do it. A bit of a pain but good luck up there in Laramie.

Though I was starting to become quite despondent, I called back Ken's Toyota and their parts and service manager had already ordered the parts and was planning on calling me to schedule a drop off date!

Thank you to all for your help-- It seems that this dealership is one of the "good ones" that isn't even requiring me prove that I'm experiencing any issues with bottoming out. It seems as if the battle has been won!

Thanks to all for your help in this endeavor!

    Case closed!
