I Just bought a Supercharger...
Anybody know of a trustworthy fairly priced shop that rebuilds engines and transmissions?

hahaha yeah believe me I have my regrets - all the way back to that nice day in June 2002 when the salesrep asked me "So do you want to go with a 4wd or 2wd, after all a 2wd will have less that will break down"... I love my tacoma but there is no way I would drop serious paper on it to mod it out only to have to ask some Jeep to pull me out of the sand

 

its a long bed. you can keep that a prerunner.

 

I don't fully understand the 2wd ->4wd conversion. For the same cost you can sell the current truck and just buy a 4wd. Which is still a huge hassle and a lot of time.

Anyway about your leaf springs. If they frown with the wieght of the truck on them it might be time to replace them.

Truck money would probably be 50/50 with beer money. I would rather spend my last couple bucks on beer over truck parts.

 

Walked across the street for lunch. Still alive. So far so good!

 

To be clear, I have not and never will consider a conversion to 4wd. Next time around, if its a truck purchase (and not a damned mini-van) it will most certainly be a 4WD.

I just figure me being the suspension FNG I should ask the experts. The next and most likely final change will be a suspension refresh to compensate for the added weight from the cap I recently added. No interest in ride height change.

 

When the antenna is inside the vehicle the reception will be worse then having the antenna on the roof. If you get a roof mount antenna then you should get better reception.
