End up not getting the topper due to what i wanted to add cheaper to order one the way I want it. Based on what im planning on doing. Passed it along to another member here. He bought it and touched it up him self with some color match paint looks really good. Calling @iRideMTB

As fare as qoutes i got anywhere from 500-1000 bucks is what i was told!

Thank you for the info. That's the pricing I was getting. For some reason I thought it was 200-300 to get a topper painted. I wonder if MAACO would work for a topper?

You get what you pay for...

If you dont mind doing all the prep work yourself (sanding/filling any chips), are ok with them getting overspray on stuff, and the color being close'ish go for them. Longevity of the paint likely will also be a toss up.

I had my first two vehicles painted by Maaco. I wasn't looking for show quality, just looking to freshen them up. On both, they did NO prep work. By no prep work... they painted right over very obvious foam adhesive from emblems, paint started chipping pretty soon after due to lack of proper primer on plastics. There was overspray on wheels/tires, trim around windows and on the glass. The products and materials that they use are going to be a cheaper product. But... painting a car for $3-500 or whatever I paid, that's about what I expected.

So I would save the money and DIY, rhino line, plasti-dip it. Even if you do all the time consuming prep work, which is just as important as the paint itself, you'll be real pissed when they still manage to screw it up. If you didn't want to use spray cans, you can have a paint store mix some paint up for you, buy a cheap spray gun, buy clear from the paint shop or auto stores are starting to carry spray-able clear for relatively cheap. The last clear that I had was ~$200-240/gallon IIRC, so the smaller containers are the way to go.

Looking at some sections of what I need to do I don't think the palm polisher will work. I need a DA so I can hit smaller/narrow spots by angling it.

So back to my original request....

Anyone in the Arvada/Golden/Westminster area with a DA polisher I can borrow for a day?

Just went to an at&t store. But go to a corporate store since the other ones likely won't know what the hell to do with it. And the 800 number says you have to activate it in store anyways.

Well i went to an authorized store who looked at me like I had 7 eyes, gave me a sim card and said have a good day.

Then I spent 45 minutes with the 800 number, asked her to see if anyone else knew what they were doing and i got a supervisor. She was able to start setting up the account but said i still needed to go to a corporate store.

Got to the corporate store and the supervisor i talked to before did something wrong and it was hung up in the system. But corporate guy knew exactly what it was, knew that there was only one plan, the $20/mo... Just had to fix what was done wrong by the previous two broads.

They have to give you a phone number for it, basically that's the account they create for it, but you don't need to have anything else with them. There's a $25 activation fee.

So don't do what i did. Just go to a corporate store. If you've ever had att in the past, they'll just pull up that account. I haven't had them in years and they used that one.
