yea LA seems like a nice place to me, Id love to live in NYC if it didnt cost so much lol

 

It's way overpriced, my moms 2 bedroom, 1 bath house - not updated, bathroom needs complete remodel because of mold, yard is trashed, no real garage (just a sh*tty house all around)
Just under $500k, 3 hours north she could've bought a new mansion..
Everybody here is a dickhead too.. kinda like me, but worse

Ive never even been to the west coast so i don't really know, just looked like a cool place to live, guess not lol. Well unless your a millionaire that is.

 

So-cal is hella expensive, lived there until a month before I turned 18, nice place but too expensive and too many laws.

 

Even then ^ like he said there's too many laws. Better off buying an island where you can do whatever you want if you have that kind of money.

 

Any of y'all into psychology/reading people?
What would you say about someone if they had this body language.
Very little eye contact, shifting weight between feet a lot, nervous ticks, suppressed smiles (I.E. trying to hide the smile) when eye contact is made.

what are nervous ticks? sounds like whoever you're talking to doesnt really wanna talk to you. but it also depends on the person i think, like someone who's shy might not make much eye contact and shift weight no matter what. Could also be someone who's into you and just doesnt wanna show it or is nervous about talking to you, they might be afraid of you thinking that they like you? since they suppress their smile. Those are polar opposite meanings lol but just my take on it

 

I dunno. But I know me person, I struggle making eye contact with anyone, isn't a good flaw to have but whatever. Im also really fidgety and tended to move a lot when I'm talking, like moving my feet, arms, hands, fingers, just moving.

So maybe it's just them and they don't realize they're doing it.

 

Fidgeting with her fingers, and a couple of other indicators that I've picked up from her that she does when she's nervous.
A little backstory on her.
Known her for 15+ years, known her pretty well for 2.5-3 years, and been talking to her almost daily for the past 7 months.
She's a fairly quiet and reserved person around strangers but comes out of her shell with family and friends, struggles/struggled with anxiety, depression, and a few other things but she's learning how to handle them.
She knows I like her and I'm pretty sure she likes me, she dropped by today to drop off a movie (we now live in the same apartment complex) but didn't stay long at all and her body language was as described above.

She has told me stuff about her past that only her immediate family knows and even some stuff that her family doesn't know, so she is/was comfortable talking to me (she told me about her past before I moved, but when I was visiting the area), but after I moved we went to breakfast one day, had a great time, spent 3 hours at her apartment talking after breakfast and then she started pulling away a little bit, never answers when I ask about going places with her (movies, hikes, church, anything) but almost every night she'll tell me about her day and tell me goodnight.

 

Yeah, I can usually pick up when a person is naturally nervous/fidgety (I'm the same way, especially around cops, and I have family that are cops and am in the process of become one as well) and she doesn't usually act this way.

 

I wish I knew how to design/set up the auto reply system, I'd use it for every email in my spam folder.

yea I had a big issue with eye contact too, years ago I never made eye contact like ever, then i started just looking at them once every 10 seconds or something and now I still don't make perfect eye contact but its enough lol I tend to just look at what the person is doing or something behind them or something.

hm sounds like a weird relationship, so nothing is official? You guys just have this affinity for each other? Im confused a bit, you've been talking to her for 7 months but you just recently moved and visited her? Maybe just straight up ask her whats going on between you, can't hurt much I imagine. Maybe she's just a naturally cautious/nervous person?

Why the fuck are they so hard to understand...

 

I'm going to figure her out one day, I managed to figure my sister out (took me almost 21 years, but hey, I did it) so I think I can figure her out.

 

Yeah, very odd. Nope, nothing official.
She heard I was gonna be visiting the area in December last year and she hit me up on Snapchat, been talking to her almost daily since, at first it was just BSing around and then we started having serious conversations and then we started talking about our pasts and what we have struggled with.
When I started talking to her I lived in Mississippi, she lives in Virginia, some of my family lives close to her and my family has known her family for 25+ years.
~4 years ago I spent nearly a month living with her, her brother, and parents while I was visiting the area before I started college, and then spring and fall breaks I would go up and visit them and family.

After seeing her in December I saw her in February, and April (visiting the area before I moved, getting apartments and jobs lined up) and then I moved about halfway through April.

I've asked her what's going on and she just says "I'm dealing with something" so I gave her space, didn't push and barely talked to her for about a week and she keeps talking to me but doesn't say anything about doing things together.

I'm pretty sure from the way she's acting she's afraid of a relationship, she is very independent and doesn't trust easily.
