Well the weather finally cleared up enough to be able to do a few minor things.. it had been raining off and on for the past 2 weeks, and it's hard to work on it with the windows open / doors open if it's wet out..

So, got around to installing my @Clazzio 's, doing my AVS in-channel ventshades, and fixing up my badges. Didn't snag a picture of my badges.. they're just blacked out.

    Man i need some help....

Saved us a grand on something today by smooth talking... Wife so happy she said i can buy something for my truck... But a max of $300

    Things i have been considering...

    1. TruXport tonneau cover... Had it on my last truck and liked it.. Comes in handy and i like the look but not really a "fun" purchase...

    2. S&B cold air intake... I know a lot of people say CAIs don't do anything but the product reviews from people who actually use them seem to be great... Prolly the most "fun" of the 3...

    3. ShiftSense controller thingy...lots of great reviews as well and the cheapest of the 3. If it really improves the shift points in a positive way it could be a fun purchase...

    Or something else??

Could you swing the CAI and the ShiftSense? Or the ShiftSense and the Tonneau? I use my tonneau a lot and am glad my truck came with it.

The ShiftSense will be the most impact for the money...

    Then I'd say ShiftSense!

So originally the shiftsense (SS) was going to be my next purchase... Because it's the cheapest and easiest to get away with...

See this is where it gets tough... If i get the SS now it will be way harder to talk her into letting me get a $300+ CAI later... She thinks both the SS and CAI are "not needed" but the tonneau cover is "useful and needed"

But i think the SS paired with the CAI and my exhaust will make me way happier than a tonneau cover lol

Ha I know right! I'm going to put a cvt up there. Just waiting to mount my ceiling hoist, because I don't want to leave the rtt on 24/7.

SS is as necessary as the tonneau cover, they are both functional improvements IMO. CAI less so, more for racetruck sounds. I'd go SS+tonneau, then wait a bit on the CAI.

I would vote shift sense first and maybe the CAI if you can squeeze that into the deal too. You can always find a used tonneau on here or Craigslist and use the "it's used and a great deal!" card with the wife to score thriftiness points.

Sounds like the SS wins! LOL

    Thanks fellas

Both the CAI and tonneau are around 300 and the SS is 175... So i reckon I'll do the SS and maybe some hood struts... Or new headlight bulbs...

I just ordered the SS a few days ago, I think we made solid choices! Gonna be a few weeks before it gets here though. If you do eventually look into tonneaus or CAI I'd try contacting this guy from AutoAnything, they usually have great prices and free shipping anyways, but he's a TW member offering a hook up!

How hard were they to install? What kind of price tag?
