Silver seems to take scratches best. Don't know about white though and keeping it waxed seems to help a lot.

Do you know anyone on the west coast that'll do a 4x4 conversion to a 2nd gen? I know there's a guy on the east coast that does.

Pretty sure it's just about any dark color that scratches will show up on and also is hard to maintain clean

When, I say when I had Jeep, don't judge. I took it out a month later and brought it back with nasty scratches like the red truck. I am happy I have the best color for scratching now. Figure when the shine wears off I will paint it a flat color. Then I will not worry just keep painting to keep it the same.

Not bolt on for the 2nd gens. There's a few mounts that need to be fabricated. Where the front diff goes and the transfer case.
Past that you need driveline modifications, and a hole cut through the floor. The rest is bolt on though lol.

Danny, I think most all go FJ manual transfer case to avoid the ecu. I've done some reading on the subject but have no idea where to take my truck to have that done.

I have looked at most of the conversion threads and looked at costs. I have come to the conclusion its a wash. Gonna sell mine and buy a 4x. I have just hit 90k miles so I can get ok cash for mine though. Going to take all the mods off and swap them over. Little wary of getting a newish one though with all the added crap I don't care for. Atrac, secondary air pump, etc.

Do et! Make an offer. I'll bet they'll negotiate a bit. That 4x4 has your name all over it. Once you sell your truck the net cost will be nominal.
