Aha yeah. Trust me I tried, I REALLY did. Oh well! I'll just toss it in the bed when I go wheeling, otherwise it'll just live in the shed.

I have my 255/80/17 km2 spare up under the bed without issues. I cut the tabs off, and chopped my exhaust after the turn down at the axle. Before I chopped the exhaust it didn't fit right. On one side it was hitting the leaf spring shackle, and on the other it was hitting the exhaust hanger. After chopping the exhaust and cutting the hanger off it fits nice and snug now.

I may have to revisit it then. I also have chopped exhaust, hammered tabs flat and even cut the exhaust hanger. It may be my aftermarket hitch getting in the way?

I did similar except I just took a mallet and smacked the ears on the tabs back enough for the spare to fit. Granted Im 285 vs 255 though which I believe is a smaller tire.

I have tow package, so it came with the truck. Maybe the aftermarket hitch has different mounts and makes clearances tighter.

Ah true I have the stock tow package as well. Recently though I upgraded to a pelfreybuilt rear bumper with integrated hitch behind the license plate. I fully expected to be screwed by the tire clearance when putting it on, but I think I gained another 2 inches of clearance from the hidden hitch set up in the bumper.

That's what my guess I was. I have about a half inch between the tire and hitch as well as the tire and rear diff. I could move the spare tire hanger back a smidge and maybe it'll fit. I'll try that a different time though, as I have enough to do today.

Ugh, the carrier for my CB antenna mount is AMZL US. If anyone has experience with them, they know they totally suck. I better get my mount today.

What kind of law is exciting lol? You gotta learn and do the small stuff before you move up to the big cases. Not knocking what you are doing just saying. It is an interesting and challenging field but the boring stuff comes with it at least at first.

It's the Army so Soldiers first. Weapons, field problems and airborne is standard fun stuff. Typically 9-5 day job though for JAG it just when they go to the field depending on who they are attached too they can get to do some fun stuff. Everything is tactical
Per say in the field. There are just varying levels of tactical for different jobs and units depending not their missions.

Nothing yet! Today my antenna, spring and mount are all coming in. My mount is the only one through AMZL and they blow. I'm legitimately worried my mount won't show up until tomorrow, and I'm SOL.

Yea no shit...from the law guys I know research/reading/late nights at the office better be an interest. I know just enough about law that I would likely change professions as it isn't for me although I know it has many perks to it. Always gave my roommate props for sticking it out as their job is never done, just when you have had enough for the day and he is government!

Could always ghetto that shit up with having a walki-talki on the whole time next to a cb assuming that wouldn't create crazy interference.

I'll just drive around hitting people with my antenna since I won't have any way to mount it! That'll be my way of communicating.
