You're a good man. I try and stop and help too when I can. It blows my mind the amount of people who just go by without a care in the world.

Hard not to stop when I pulled beside her and realized her trailer wasn't even connected. She's blocking half the road, obviously was distraught, and that road is frequented by large dump trucks each morning.

I'm just glad it was as simple as reattaching the trailer and wasn't a more catastrophic failure I couldn't help her fix.

This just happened. More later when I get to install and test it out.

    Pocket knife for scale.

FYI: 303 Protectant (last applied a month or more ago) seems to keep 3M sticky pads from sticking to plastic.

Looking forward to it not freezing, battery dying, over heating on +70F days like my GoPro. Plus the auto on/off is nice.

Maiden voyage on my drive home from work.

Here are some road rage bozos competing to see who can be more reckless toward the other. :argue:

Look for the silver compact car and red full size truck entering the freeway from the right. The semi truck blocks them for a bit. Then you see them race across the gore point and make their way to the fast lane. The silver car ends up passing the truck in the breakdown lane, to the left of the HOV lane.

It's like they're racing. Why is it so hard to keep the flow of traffic?

Fuck this Medicare Trans driver. If I hadn't blasted my horn at him, he totally would have rammed into me. You can't see it in the video, but he was on his fucking cell phone.

Was just reviewing video clips from the last week or two of using this. They aren't too terribly bad. It will easily show the events of a wreck! Though I don't think I'll be able to provide license plates to anyone. My subwoofers make the lens vibrate a lot though! LOL The mic picks up voices inside the truck very well. It also picks up bass really, really well. I can't hear the high/mid range of my stereo on the mic though.

I will say this: I had to mount mine left of center on my windshield due to my rear view mirror and a HAM radio. If you can center it you'll get a better field of view! Also, that 130 or 135 degree FOV is a little limiting compared to the 160 degree FOV of the older version. All my video so far is day time - it could be crisper in my opinion. Though I've only run it with the sun glare shield over the lens (that's a separate purchase). Might try without it and see if it improves clarity at all.

You really ought to contact the company and share the video with them so they can take corrective action before that driver hurts someone.

First thing I did when I got home. They didn't answer the phone number listed on the vehicle, but they have a driver complaint submital form on their website. If they don't respond, I found their Scottsdale Corp office number on Google. Complaint form says they'll contact me in 24 hours, so I'll call Corp if they do not reach out to me. I'll also start looking for twitter/Facebook as well. I want that driver to face repercussions.

*update* So I called Medicare Trans LLC's "office" phone number. Some dude answered the phone with a terse "Hello?". I asked if this was Medicare Trans LLC and he said yes. Then he proceeded to sound more and more annoyed when I started asking to speak with the person in charge of driver complaints and explaining what happened. He said he'd "check the GPS" and see who it was. I was totally polite, calm, and diplomatic about the whole thing and he treated me like he couldn't care less.

    Excellent.

I did something similar a couple years ago. I was out on a lunchtime run, so shopping/office area. As I'm about to step into the crosswalk with the signal in my favor a company van flies up the right-turn lane and turns right barely slowing for the red light. Had someone been crossing from the other side he'd never have seem them due to the other vehicles stopped for the light. Had I not been paying attention and stopped, I could have been hit.

Ya really hate risking f'ing with some guy's job, but when they're doing stuff that could put someone in the hospital or worse, ya gotta say something.

Yes, sometimes school buses run in the summer time. Still need to stop when the red lights are flashing and the STOP sign is extended...

Two dumbasses a few minutes apart, same school bus. (zoom/freeze effect via iMovie)

From my funcar while on vacation last week:

Installed the A119 with GPS and hardwire kit today. Easy as pie.

Decided to leave the time zone set to UTC/GMT. Since I am an Amateur Radio operator I am already used to using UTC time, and this way I won't need to adjust for DST twice a year. This also, to me at least, makes sense when you travel from time zone to time zone. Just this past month I was here in NM (MDT), and traveled to TX, OK, MO (CDT), and AZ (MST).

Took a trip to Home Depot after installing the camera, but didn't capture any idiotic drivers.
