So...ive had a slammed car and that shit is terrible for daily driving. You have to be super careful with speed bumps, driveways, construction. Everything. Not to mention you FEEL the little lane dividers when you change lanes.

 

Just buy that farkin' show truck some legs dammit!!

I think by the time you did an engine swap on the truck and redid the axle with LT front, you could have gone base model 4WD and get new axles with lockers for cheaper. Maybe even an LT front, too

These cars are definitely a ton of fun to drive and I like them best when people leave them at stock ride height. Not everything needs to be fast and furiosed out. Then again this is Houston so the fact they're not on vogues is probably an accomplishment.

 

For a solid axle, ask @SMKYTXN how much time and $$$ that costs. It's redic

Yeah. That's what I like about them, they're good to go stock.
I'm thinking more of drives to Galveston, or even the Hill Country. ~5-6 hours tops. Nothing like a multiday road trip with these.

 

Anything with a curvy road will be a lot of fun but also with the AWD the beach trips won't end in calling someone to tow you out. Those things really stick to the road and you get a different aspect of driving to enjoy from the trucks. Definitely a good choice.
