It's not just the donuts. It shows how much flex is in the bed when using it off road. Those donuts and off roading put a lot of flex and stress on the bed. When I installed the product I was surprised at how much the bed was out of square, probably due in some part to off-roading. So to prevent further separation and stress on that area I would get this installed if you're going to drive hard

The Total Chaos is full height, whereas the At The Helm is 1/2 height.

Always wondered if these are worth it. If anything, they seem to add some great mounting points.

Does anyone find them in the way though? Like when you're putting large items in your bed. I can just see myself tripping on them and getting stuff stuck on them.

You have to drill into your bed. I haven't had a chance to put large items in but one side of the bed had separated which these thing fixed.

The bed channels on our trucks are known to be weak and flex out over time where the tailgate reveal doesn't match on both side. They've even been known to crack. These are just kinda like bolt in gussets that add some extra points to attach the downs as a bonus feature.

Half height for the At the Helm ones is inaccurate. The only height diff is the very top part that is angled back. At The Helms also come with bottle openers :)

Probably more like 3/4 height. I've had both the TC and ATH - I do like the latter a bit better, but they're both top notch.

Edit. You guys beat me to it.
