had to look plano up. I went to dallas to help a manager from the restaurant I worked at move and visited once. other than that we didn't venture out much but wish we did. loved texas. it really is another country. Before Norfolk hired me in bham I was hired by BNSF but they cancelled the job before it started. they offered multiple locations in texas and I was so ready to go. Pregnant wife, not so much.

I'll be doing this. I've looked at the different youtube vids about controller setup for Project Cars. Nothing works. Way too many spins for no apparent reason. I figured it would be difficult but not this hard. I know it was designed as a sim and after what you said about the controller it's no surprise. Beautiful graphics though!

Richard gave me a good tip, which I had never seen or tried before, but as you're driving, push the left stick forwards and just push it around the edge of the circle whichever way you want to turn. Makes sure you're giving the subtle and smooth inputs it desires. lol

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
I got around to putting in my CB but have some concerns. The radio is a cobra 29lx with power on battery and ground on the batteries body ground right next to it.

18' coax with 4' firestik mounted on a bracket attached to my ditch light brackets.

I have not used a standalone SWR meter, but according to the radio my swr is about 2.3-2.4 across all channels.

The problem is adjusting the length of the antenna has no effect on swr on any channels. That seems odd. Also, sometimes when I key the mic while in swr mode it gives me an antenna warning.

I originally had the excess coax coiled up under console so I undid it with no change. Car on or off doesn't make a difference. I have heard truckers talking from far off, but haven't tested it with someone close by.

Only thing I can think it the coax pin was broken on the antenna side. I say broken, the wire was still attached to the pin, but the pin would wiggle around. I don't think that's the problem but I will replace it as a last resort.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Try running a wire to a bolt under the hood, you aren't grounded well enough with the paint is my bet

Perhaps the threads in the height adjustment are stripped?
