However, it appears to be $80 a month/ or $45.00 per line if two lines.

Yeah just found that.. wonder what using your phone as a wifi hotspot or for tethering adds to that. It says a hotspot is included...hmm

it is limited to 22g. Not that they shut it off, they just make your needs less of a priority. Doesn't matter, this thing is cool as shit and doesn't have a screen to break.

also singler line is limited users, I've already exceeded that just in the house. Laptop, chromebook, DVD player and cellphone have put it one over the limit Verizon offers.
    https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/new-verizon-plan-unlimited-faqs/#45

"How many devices can I have on the new Verizon Plan Unlimited?
This depends if you have the multi-line plan or single line plan.

    Multi-line

    • 10 smartphones, basic phones, Jetpacks or tablets
    • 20 connected devices like a smartwatch
    Single-line

    • 1 smartphone or basic phone
    • 2 Jetpacks, tablets or connected devices"

I have ATT and use mine all the time working on the road (read sitting next to a river), with company phone though so IDGAF about data. Just last night sent some reports out in Georgetown before jumping on the trail.

Won't see a movie unless I can get in with my Glock. Luckily, haven't seen a theater here in the Springs that uses metal detectors.

Could've got you on my plan and it would've probably brought everyone down to $45 per month.

You know I read this too and it deterred me, but there's a lot of discounts on it. I don't pay "per line" just a straight up $85 per month for the data. Currently split between 4 people. $20 line access each person and about $20 in taxes every month.

Could also be a mess up on Verizon's end, but I'm not questioning it. This is for the unlimited plan.

Archer should have his own phone, then i can bring it down.
I have Verizon already, pay way too much for it too but I like it. It does have a hotspot option, it's an extra charge, not sure how much to be honest with the rates changing all the time. I should give them a call and see if I qualify for a better rate plan, lol. I swear they tack on like two dozen little bs charges and taxes each month.
I don't have an argument either way other than this little device is dirt cheap for monthly use.
It will be interesting to see over time just where AT&T and Verizon service overlap when out in the boonies.

Hotspot shouldn't be extra. Just uses your data. At least mines not extra.

They used to be... There was an app that got around whatever they charged but they blocked it. Last time i asked, they were still charging to tether.

Never had an issue sharing my phones data connection in anyway. Maybe like 3 years ago there were fees. Never seen any within a year probably.

On the subject of cell phones, unlimited plans, etc., this article just popped up on MSN:
    http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/comp...lunging-cellphone-bills/ar-BBD5jPg?li=BBnb7Kz

Regarding tethering, I think it's just like unlimited. It was free, then it was an extra fee for a while, and then it went back to being free again. Or maybe it was tied to your plan type as well - I know it was on Verizon and TMobile. I and my parents are on Verizon, and when visiting over holidays I've always been able to use their phones to tether with no extra fee, and this has been a few years at least. Just have to watch what you allow and don't over the metered connection.
