Wet Okole Install? (2009 DC)

I'm getting ready to install my WO's here in a few minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions since this will be my first set of custom seatcovers I'm installing?

Alright. With that being said, is there anything I need to be careful of since my seats have the air bags in them?

 

for sure take the seats out...it would be nearly impossible to do if you left them in.

Also on the front seats, there is a drivers side and pass difference. Ask me how I know? Also leave your windows down for a few days if you have the ability. My seats after two weeks have just stopped smelling like a new wetsuit.

 

I didn't really want to take the front seats out but I sure don't want to fight these things. So I guess I better take a look under the seats and see what all's gotta be unhooked and all that.

 

Don't keep anything in the truck that you may need to wear (hat or whatever) or else it's going to REEK of neoprene.

 

Would it help to wash them with neoprene soap before installing? Its still cold here and I don't want to be poisoned for two weeks!?

Also, when taking out the seats, do you just unbolt them, then disconnect? Haven't taken them out of this vehicle before...

 

just did mine and I think they came out great. very easy to do but take your time. And like everyone said, take out the seats, was waaayyyy easier.

The WO's fit great and could not be happier. Just take your time and you will be fine. Mine was like @45min.

 

Working on the passenger seat now. Are the covers supposed to be like they have air underneath the middle portion of the seat almost like that of being "puffy" or do I need to cinch them on down?

 

put a thin rag or shirt over your bolts when you turn them and it wont scratch the paint

 

Anyone in Va. want to help me install these things? For some reason the idea is stuck in my head that I keep doing something wrong.

Edit: Nevermind I got them going after fussing and cussing. I sure wish I was in Cali. to get these installed for free though. I got the passenger front on and I'm gonna put the console cover on and that will be it for tonight. I don't want to spend anymore time outside away from my daughter.

 

Looks great! You know you can pull that black inner plastic off (few screws) on the cubby, and get the WO cover inside it so the button is free and clear?

 

Anyone have any side pictures of the console cover installed where it's tucked inside of the button? Fooling with it right now and I can't get it to act right.
