2" lift vibes

I installed a fox lift kit on my 2017 off-road which consisted of 2.5 fox coilovers, light racing UCA's, 2.0 fox rear shocks, Dakar leaf springs, and a OME CB drop.

I installed the front coilovers and UCA's first and drove around a couple days like that and had no vibes at all.
I then installed the rear shocks, dakar leafs, and the CB drop and immediately noticed a vibrations at around the 18-25mph range when coasting or lightly accelerating. If I accelerate hard I don't really notice a vibe in that range.

I've played a bit with raising and lowering the CB with not much effect.

I took some angle measurements of the driveshaft.

3.8 degrees at the TC, 8.3 first shaft, 9.8 2nd shaft, and 4.9 rear. That gives 4.5 degree working angle at the first joint, 1.5 degree at the second joint, and 4.9 degree at the rear joint.

What I think I understand is that you want the same working angle between the rear diff joint and the joint preceding it but I have 4.9 and 1.5 which is a difference of 3.4 degrees. So does this mean I need a 3 (or 3.5) degree shim in the rear leaf?

I've totally confused myself at this point. And I'm a little frustrated. I'm actually considering just putting back the stock parts lol.

Any help or insight you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Needle Bearing it sounds like. Super, super common with 4x4 Lifted Tacos 2005-current.

@ECGS has the fix.

 

If the vibes go away when in 4wd then you need to replace the needle bearing with the ECGS bushing as others have stated.

Otherwise, the front shaft needs to be parallel to the transfer case output, +/- 1 degree.
The middle angle and pinion angle need to be equal, after accounting for axle wrap.

The vibe doesn't go away if you put it in 4H. It's the same in 4h or 2wd. I drove it up to 75mph and it's smooth everywhere but the 18-25mph range......... I haven't had an alignment yet but don't think that would change this issue.. If it needed axle shims wouldn't I get more vibs and different speed ranges?

 

You installed coilovers, UCA's then later lifted the rear and still haven't aligned it yet???? Get the alignment done first then go back to see if you still have the problem. If so then we can discuss possible causes.

 

Yeah I did coilovers on Mon. and the rear on Wed. Alignment shop couldn't do it until next week. I have appointment set up for next friday.

 

So this vib didn't start till the rear end changes were made? ?

I do have the OME cb drop kit installed. Tried it with and without. No difference.

 

I'd adjust the carrier bearing to get 0.9 degree for the first working angle.
Then, shim as needed to get the the second and third working angle 'equal'.
