    none yet. Going to change
I'm wondering if anyone knows why my car honks when i start it up. I doesn't have an alarm or key fob. It's a manual but i don't think that changes anything. (1999 Tacoma TRD Off-road 4x4)

    Thanks!

Did someone prank you and wire your horn to your starting circuit?

Have you checked the wiring all around the engine bay - you might find some clues there - especially by the horn and driver's footwell. Other than your truck being a sentient being ala Herbie the Love Bug, it would have to be wired in a way that the horn received a signal from something other than the steering wheel control o_O

Be pretty hard to happen from a short

Then who can know what wiring may have been done.

    Left over alarm parts ??

Does the Horn work like it should at other times.

    Finding your battery going dead??

Ignition switch connected some place between the Horn relay and the horn.

The horn switch closes the coil circuit by going to ground .

Horn is in a circuit all by itself. So you need to look for messed up wires or added on stuff.
see attached pdf for wiring diagram.
