    With the Eastwood I would go right in between D and E so D and and a half, and your wire speed at 2, as @Star-Lord mentioned I would run a practice bead. You are gonna get a lot of spatter with the flux core, its gonna burn hot so make sure your hand speed it relatively quick.

    Its MIG welding, no need to let it "puddle" per say, just move along at a good steady pace, first thing my uncle said when he put a welder in my hands at 11, "make sure you are comfortable and can do your intended weld or pass smoothly" and then he took a drink of his beer, not sure if that has any bearing on the weld, but to this day I also drink beer while doing so, ask @tacot0wn

    So my welds look like crap but for this 30lb thrust outboard motor i think they are strong enough to get the job done. thanks for the words man. it helped alot. gonna hit up k&k and get some scrap for practicing. :) i only hit the button once without my helmet down. 5 minutes of wondering if i just fucked my eyes. sometimes i need to sloowwwww down.
