Make another one for the other side, have the top to be flush with the wheel well and slap some plywood on top and you'd have yourself a sweet removable sleeping platform. I like that it has hinges for easy storage. Pretty slick!

Uh, no. Removing/replacing tires/wheels does NOTHING to the alignment of a vehicle. His alignment was likely off before he got the new tires. Getting an alignment check when you get new tires isn't a bad idea, because if your alignment was already off you could potentially get uneven/poor wear patterns on the new tires... But the act of replacing tires/wheels doesn't change alignment settings.

Maybe if i owned a car wash my truck MIGHT be clean.... OCCASIONALLY!

    LOL

That's pretty cheap... Around here the best washes at the touch less is 11-14 bucks.

What i normally do is hit the self serve bay and spray the majority of dirt, mud and crap off... Then i spray it down real good with the high pressure soap.... I don't rinse.... Then i go through the touchless automatic wash...

I'm still never satisfied with the wash... But I'm also normally too lazy to hand dry when I'm done.

Anytime you change your tires to a different overall width or overall height you need an alignment. Anytime you change the offset on your wheels and/or width of your wheels you need an alignment. Just because it rolls down the road it doesn't mean your truck is within spec. and could damage brand new tires. Heck even potholes can throw your alignment out of wack. But hey, I'm just some guy on an online forum putting in my $.02.

    ^^ sweet kayak!!

And here is the reason i didn't want to go with an open filter intake...The white spots are dry mud... Id imagine an open filter CAI like the k&n would get nasty quick.

I ordered the s&b with dry filters instead of the oiled filters... I'd rather just replace a $45 filter once a year then deal with cleaning and oiling and then worrying oil might get sucked in...

Modifying tire size or width does not alter your alignment settings. There are three things in play in your alignment: Toe, camber, caster. Toe is adjusted in your tie rods and will not change nor require resetting by going to a different tire / wheel. Camber is the angle that your tire rests on the road. Going to a larger wheel may give the appearance of more camber, but the degree of angle will remain the same regardless of wheel/tire size. Caster is not impacted by tire/wheel size and typically can only be changed via a suspension component change.

That being said, you may WANT a re-alignment to take advantage of a different tire/wheel combo. But technically speaking, what is being aligned is the wheel hub. The hub doesn't know what wheel/tire you bolt onto it.

This is obviously a very simplistic explanation and when you change suspension components or when you alter the height of the wheel hub relative to the chassis (lowering a car for example), alignment settings go out the door and will require attention.

I'm sorry but this is just wrong. You have not changed anything in the geometry of the suspension so there is no need to have an alignment done (I suppose if you went with some huge offset it might have some effect but I'm talking huge). The reason to get an alignment when you get new tires is because in the many miles you have put on the vehicle you have probably knocked something out of alignment, and a vehicle out of alignment will eat up those new tires.
