    Driving :burnrubber:

I live a mile and a half from pavement. My road is either really dusty or really muddy depending on the rain.

    Plus i off-road often.

No idea sorry. I didn't care for the k&n exposed filter design so i didn't look at them.

I also like the aFe, but it was more than $100+ over the price of the s&b.

I was going to reply and correct your correction.. But it looks like a couple others have already done that.

In this case, your $.02 is worth $.00.

New wheels should only cost you net ~$300. I got my sema wheels for $800 and sold my sport wheels for $500.

I do always forget that whole selling the original ones part... Maybe I'll keep my eye out a bit more for a good sale.

Ok yes, y'all are right. It won't affect the hub which is controlled by the suspension. Changing tires will affect the SAI and tire scrub when turning, not enough to require an alignment, but enough to alter the specs slightly. If I spent a bunch of money on new wheels and tires I would wanna make sure they won't have premature where. Doing an alignment would ensure consistent drive quality.

I second that. Don't ever go to Mossy Toyota either. Kearny or Carlsbad are the best.

I'm guessing i should have the S&B cold air intake around the end of the week. I'll install it same day and give an honest opinion on it.

My open K&N is great for my rear wheel drive pavement princess truck. I figure the 1st time I remove and clean it I will decide whether or not to fabricate a screen cover for the top. After 7.5 months all is fine. I can see why an off-roader would not want an open breather of any kind. That would be nothing but trouble.

I had a setup like that, with a sheet of 3/4" plywood and a foam mattress over the wheel wells and supports in a Toyota 4-wd truck with a tall camper top in the early 80's. Great for camping trips across and all over mountain wilderness areas of US & Canada. Our cooler and tent & cooking & camping gear lived in crates slid under the plywood, even had it screened so if we slept onboard we'd survive the mosquitos.

How is the sunshade holding up? Does it stay in place even after it gets hot?
