    Wanna give a shoutout to @ffdawson and @jAndyMendo (without intentionally helping)

    I hit up Anthony during the Taco meet when I found out that Dillon Beach (original destination) was fully booked. Couple calls and every campground along the coast was full. He mentioned hitting up Mendocino Forest via Upper Lake. After driving for a while around the forest roads, I happened to stop and open up Gaia Maps and found that I was really close to a track made by Andy back in May. Looked at his track and his 'camp' spots and found Bear Creek wasn't too far away.

    This morning I followed his path for a while but decided to veer off and head back towards Letts Lake, where Anthony had recommended. Had a blast, let the dog run around and swim, got to use the Tent for the first time; slept great and had a great drive down the hill this morning.

    Thanks guys!

    How much water was in the creek? When we were there it was flowing pretty good.

    Wife took the kids to a birthday party and she helped them make a nice crafty card for the girl. They wanted to make a birthday sign to. That's when they made a mistake and asked for Dad's help.

    I like me some brats. The GF came home with these. Couldn't find any bratwurst. These were just various sausages: chicken and apple, andouille, cheddar, artichoke and garlic, and some Louisiana hot links.

    There's not enough room in my fridge for the amount of beer I'll need to get thru the remainder of the Giants season. WTF?! :annoyed:

    @duncnasty Search and rescue stuff:
    IMO IAMSAR manual I-III and IS-809 may be of use. What class are you going to on the 29th?

    Anyone have experience with "Ctek D250s" dual battery solar set-up? @Iggy
