Morning all! The 'just me and the dog home' vacation ends today... After yesterday's M&G, I already informed wifey that a lift kit is on the list of things to do.

Looks awesome! I had a mod day of my own day, I got my new headlights mounted.

Looks like the big meet and greet was a success, so many nice looking trucks!

Any of you guys have a snow plow on a lawn tractor?

I just acquired a Craftsman hydrostatic lawn tractor with wheel weights. It gets dramatically better traction than my old franken-mower. I know for sure if I put a snowblower on the front it would do great, but those are pricey. I noticed I can get a plow very inexpensively for it. I'm wondering if that and tire chains would clear my relatively flat driveway, or if it wouldn't have the traction to push much of anything.

I have a decent Ariens snowblower, but a 48" pass is much more appealing than a 24" pass.

Check it out on YouTube, I'm sure someone uploaded a video plowing snow with a small tractor. What I've noticed with ATVs plowing is they don't have the ass to really push and won't scrape down to really clean up the driveway. They do ok for what they are but lack the weight to really do a good job plowing. I'd put some serious thought into the snowblower attachment.

    ^ agreed

The guy a few houses over has a trike with a plow on it. I remember the first day he was able to use it. The snow was heavy as hell and he was getting mad that he couldn't get the traction. Finally he backed up about 20 feet and floored it into a pile to move it. The trike stopped dead and he went flying over the handlebars into a rock wall on the side of his driveway. His wife had to call 911 and they took him away in an ambulance.

Another account with them was when I was in Hood River, OR - the company I was subbing in for had a nice ATV with a plow on it, they hadn't seen heavy snow more than 3-4 inches in a few years. We got about 3 feet in a week when I got there and I'm pretty sure we watched the grounds keepers spend more time pushing the ATV than using it to plow.

Busy weekend for me! Meet and greet on Saturday, then I left to go pickup this down in Mystic CT

Right after picking this up we went and had a seafood dinner and then some ice cream... Yum

Thank you so much for lending me the trailer Rebecca. That couldn't have worked out better!

Today I finished up my NRA rifle trainers course, then went to my moms house to do a few things around her house to help her out and she made us a nice dinner.

    Great weekend!
