Put the mud flaps on Friday. They're the PlastiColor 11x19" ones.

Today I added the color match lettering to my door sill guards, put on vent visors and put the TRD shift knob on with matching lettering.

    Guards.

Big day tomorrow. Topper finally came in so it's going on and I've got the LED light bar, custom powder coated N-Fab light mount and Total Chaos bed stiffners going on also.

I thought it was a bit noticeable when I first put it on. But you forget it's there and really are glad it is when you need it! The way it's designed it wouldn't fit on the other side anyway.

Went to change MT fluid and diffs. Rear diff is leaking and my VIN did NOT show up on recall. Will have dealership do it as am due for 15k service but check your diff even if you aren't on the recall list!!!

Does the ECT switch have any effect when the truck is in Sport mode/sport gears, or do they only have their effect (hold shift point speeds) in D mode?
I could never tell whether my ECT is taking effect or not when it's engaged. Is there a way to check ECT functioning? A certain speed I should drive at or something?

Yes, ect will change the shift points in both s mode and d. S mode limits the highest gear that the transmission will shift into. If ect engaged, the light will be illuminated on the instrument cluster and the truck will simply hold gears longer i.e. When releasing the throttle after accelerating, it will not upshift as quick and you will see higher rpms.

Did you have to take the wheels off? If not, how did you get room for the screws obstructed by the wheels? I started to work on the same project today and decided to do it when I have the wheels off later at some point.

The rears are just held on by the three factory bolts, it seems to hold just fine with just them. I added one screw to the fronts and I just cocked the wheel and used a mini impact to screw it to the fender lining.

Sorry for the delay. I had @CBoy808 do it. We kind of collaborated on this one. I think it turned out good. Also have the tacoma lettering to match on the frond door.

How loud is that CAI and Exhaust set up at highway speed?

Thinking about going with the TRD intake and exhaust but I don't want to hear a lot of noise running down the interstate. I don't mind a little rumble in high rpm/acceleration but crusing at 2000 rpms it gets old.

You don't want the flowmaster 40 series exhaust then... I can hear it in the cab at idle.... It's not retarded loud but noticeable in all rpm ranges.. I love it personally. No longer sounds like a moped.

Adding the S&B cai, hoping it adds a little power when passing, a little more sound and a little better mileage wouldn't be a bad thing either LOL
