TW ain't random for most of the members! And I think this is why the forum is so active and also why people keep up posting their tip, mods and adventure here!

Can't wait to see the next trip!

Are there other folks in your area with Tacomas? If you see them strike up a conversation with them and get them into TW then see if you can work them into off roading with you. I can't get the group in my area to do much and not welcome further north

I could give it a try, but most "offroaders" here are Jeeps. The jeep club is very popular and the only one active club. the offroard club we had that was including all offroad rigs closed a few years ago, and my guess is because there wasn't enough people interested to keep it running... The most popular thing here is the Mall rated jacked up full size truck. not really trail rated because of a limo with a lack of flex and not enough rubber vs. the amount of shiny wheels lol. We do have a thread on TW for Quebec people, but it is mostly dead. I think those members are here mostly for mods and repair tips than looking for buddies to wheel with. I've never saw them participate to any other thread lol maybe they are not comfortable enough to have conversation in english with all you guys :notsure:

As far as I know, there is also a lack of places to wheel. People (and the city) don't want to see offroad enthusiasts wheel close to the city. We would need to find a private property or public land long enough to spend a week end. We had a great place a few years ago, called the Back Farm, where people used to wheel their Sidekick, Jeeps and Samurai in muddy holes, creek crossing and a bit of rock crawling, but the city decided to block all access for an unknown reason. And there is no offroad park either...

I know I should stop complaining and work harder to find places to go. I might have found something interesting, now is to find good people to wheel with. I might be full of prejudice but I feel like a lot of the guys who are into offroad a more interested in getting stuck, getting drunk and throw a party around the stuck rig than just wheel and enjoy the outdoor.... but that's only my feeling.

edit: never mind the attached file... It is from AutoCAD and I have no idea how it went attached to my post... wtf...

Morning!! I'm just waking up after a 12 hour overnight shift from 6pm-6am. :bananadead:

Man, that's frustrating but I get where you're coming from. To a lot of people, "off roading" is just doing donuts in some mud and drinking beer, and that's not what it's about.
Oooo, if only it had side windows. I'd probably bake in that thing.

Offered this used car lot $300 for the camper shell. Apparently they didn't like my offer!

I knew it was kinda a stretch, but it didn't hurt to ask! I emailed a few people about caps for cheap, so we'll see if I get any bites back.

I figured once I gave them some EatSleepTacos logic, they'd cave. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Damn Baltimore-ians.

@eatsleeptaco logic is like a nuclear warhead. It will get the job done but you never fully know the repercussions of its use. Both a curse and a blessing.
