Need help: Aftermarket FOG lights

Just pulled out the OEM fog lights and have the connector that connects the new fog lights to the OEM wiring making it a plug and play. Finish hooking them up and and did a test to make sure they turn on buy nothing is lighting up.

 

Take the OEM lights and plug them back in to see if its something on the truck or the new lights/connectors. If the OEM lights work fine, then you have an issue with the new lights. If the OEM lights do not work, then check fuses.
Does everything else work on the truck?

 

Yep everything else does and OEM lights do work. So at this point I am trying to figure out if it IS the lights themselves or the connector.

 

Led ? Reverse the polarity.

 

Are the connectors on the light one way, or is it possible to connect backwards?(hopefully one way)
Try one side with oem and one side with aftermarket to see if its a load issue.

 

They are only one way.

Chances are the polarity is backwards in the connector.
Led can be hooked up only one way.

The plug and play connectors can only go one way though

 

Hook a volt meter up to the connector to see if there is power. If there is, then switch the pins in the connector. Otherwise they LEDs are broken.

 

If you look at morimoto site you will see that pins in the plug can be removed and reinserted in order to reverse the polarity. Some manufacturers ship lights with pins not inserted in the plug so you get it right.
Access the keeper in the plug and the pin pops out.

That doesn't tell anyone anything. like someone previously stated plug it in to the factory harness and make sure you have power at the pins, If you do just match the polarity to the fog light

 

The plug in the bottom picture can go into the factory OEM socket two ways. If it doesn't work one way, unplug it and turn it 180* then plug it back in. Viola.

 

Fixed it, it was the connector wasn't solid on one side so just had to re seal it and worked perfect

 

It was so stupid look good like nothing loose it wasn't until the tear down do you see it still wasn't making full connection.
