Hey guys just picked up a 2017 white 4x2 Sr5 and I love it! I really would have liked to have picked up the TRD sport but as a college kid I'm broke.

But because i got the SR5 i know there's a long list of things i need to need add from lighting, exterior, audio and more but what do you guys think should be the first thing i add?

I would prefer functionality over cosmetic but damn do i wanna pick up a custom tacoma grill. Also thinking about picking up the Caliraised Light bar from the group buy what what do y'all think?

Get the lightbar setup from caliraised, ive been happy with mine for over a year.
And sliders with fill plates if you want functional steps that protect from shopping cart dings, rockchips, and offroad protection. As far as function over form we need to know what the trucks usage will be?

It's your truck, why are you having other people tell you what you want/need?

    Pics of your truck?

What are you doing with your truck? That will play heavy into what you should get.

Wheels/tires/grill were done pretty much before I took it home, but I hated the cheese grader and knew I'd put a hole in the stock tires pretty quick if I kept them. After that, Husky liners were the first thing I got for mine and no regrets, but I get dirty a lot. Really up to your needs man.

from your pics looks like mudflaps might not be a bad idea either. Plasticolor are cheap so I read (I spent too much $$ on the Husky's I got but they work).

Console organizers are great too, someone else recommended.

On the grill, if you want to go budget, and custom, this is a great site: https://www.customcargrills.com/Custom-Toyota-Grills.asp

I made a custom grill with their stuff on my old 4runner. Gives it that personal feel too when you design it yourself, plus way cheaper than most of the premade options out there.

Get yourself some salex organizers, weather tech floor liners and a good magnetic or RAM ball phone mount. Secondly, I would buy some black plastidip and have some fun with the chrome on your truck. Then, I would consider looking at tires, followed by quality step bars/sliders and suspension upgrades. Do the "everyday functional" cheap stuff first.

I just bought my truck 6 days ago. I got a tonneau cover, a rubber bed mat, and sliders with steps. Other than that, I probably won't do any other modding for the time being, not until I've driven it and gotten a feel for what, if anything, I might like to change/improve.

It totally depends on how you're going to use it. I like secure storage in the bed, and to keep snow and leaves out of the back during fall and winter (my truck lives outdoors 12 months per year), and the rubber mat keeps stuff from sliding around as much back there, and the sliders/steps offer a little bit of protection.

I notice on here that people keep talking about getting mud flaps. Mine came with them from the dealership. I gather that they don't everywhere? I think my state may have a law which requires them on trucks, so perhaps dealerships install them prior to sale.
