You can probably still line it using a spray adhesive, and the carpeting they use is just the generic multi purpose stuff from any hardware store.

    Some new things:

Installed Bird Dawg mirror riser and tech deck extreme duty to replace the Pana-Vise indash mount. Just waiting on Ram mounts to get cockpit setup with phone mount, ultragauge, and Nexus 7 tablet.

    IMAG1551_zpse3p8we56_e4964a3ba3f493644bb16477849d5038aa912fcb.jpg

Also, finally got my Northstar 31M battery today, hopefully will have a chance to install it this weekend with a battery cable extension kit and new terminals from Off-Grid Engineering, and the Pelfreybilt battery cage.

Got a Fumoto valve too, just waiting for next oil change to put it on.

And can't forget my new SCS decals on the wheels...

    IMAG1532_zpsjtcjsghl_9e975b07fdc80aef61c22a560490c7c3e03964c3.jpg

Love the look of the red on the dark bronze. Picked them up along with a 5th wheel which I got mounted up with a G015 for a spare put in rotation.

Finally, I developed some clunking in the rear. My immediate suspicion was the rear springs which I just swapped all the nuts on for nylock ones (which I broke a tooth in the process...), but now I'll fairly convinced its backlash in the pinion gear, but that's not based on a whole lot.

I trimmed the plastic OEM battery tray and used it as a liner between the body and the pelfreybilt cage. Originally I put the cage in metal to metal and the inevitable small movements caused a grinding of body paint on the platform.

Good to know. I think I'm probably going to relocate the battery to the bed sometime in the future also.

Got the new battery installed today, thanks to @Iggy lending me his badass hydraulic crimping press .

    IMAG1563_zpspzh1r7ox_bfe770269da4599f94d1422e7a2ff2d3fc5cb47f.jpg

Also got the cockpit sorted out. It's hard to cram in a phone, ultragauge, and small tablet while still having relatively easy access to AC and stereo controls and enough clearance to shift the stick without bashing knuckles. I like this setup though because the tablet can be easily adjusted for passenger use too.

I think I'm done for a little while, at least until @Bentrodder can do my rear shock towers :boink: :D

Oh wait... nevermind, I forgot I ordered front bumps and poly steering rack bushings.

Need to cool off the wallet and start feeding it some greens.

Thanks man! Hopefully one day I'll have it all built out more like yours, I've definitely lurked your build before for inspiration/reference.

glad I went with the carpet in mine, but kinda wish I had the "breakup" of the earlier sides design. Mine is just smooth. Oh well... way better than my RTT!

Huh, I didn't know they started making them like that. Maybe it looks nicer for color matched orders.

Also, did they season your tent for you? I got the notice from AT apparently the tents require "seasoning" before the seams and stitching is fully water repelling and they didn't know this from the manufacturer until recently. It's going to be a pain to do it myself.

I got the notice as well.

Sadly, due to a design flaw, my tent contracted a series of holes over a course of a week long trek across southern Utah. Ended up meeting with Mario near Grand Junction Co, who looked at the issue and began making fixes to the rest of the line.

I was told my replacement tent would have the "seasoning" done when I got it.

    We will see.

It's in the tent body... sent you a pm, makes things easier.

For those concerned about buying one of these tents... don't be. It is a design flaw that occurred in mine and maybe one other, that had been corrected.

The customer service I am getting from Mario and Martyn is nothing short of awesome! I would buy a habitat again in a heartbeat.

That's totally fair and I agree, I didn't get a chance to meet Mario when I was down there getting mine installed, but Martyn was a great guy and both were great to work with in the process of getting mine. In my experience they definitely care 100% about building a quality product and have been completely transparent about the process and the issues that they've encountered.

    Update!

I have started to seriously plan out how I'm going to build up the bed space. Thanks to @Iggy I got a new combo slide and a cabinet he made that I rebuilt to fit. I already reconstructed the frame and I just need to recut and drill the side panels.

When the slide is right up to the tailgate it leaves just barely 8" between it and the cab-side wall. The hope is to eventually fit a water tank in that space for OBW, and the cheap roto-molded ones I was looking at on Amazon claim to be 8" wide.

Also the cabinet is going to be more of a temporary stand-in. It will just have a top opening lid, but the next iteration I'd like to have a pullout drawer, and then a second smaller cabinet on top.
