Thursday after work I head north. Shooing to get close to Telluride for a Friday of riding and hanging out in Telluride. Saturday I head to Winter park for some riding. Then off to Kansas to visit the Wife. The return trip has not bee sorted yet so I am open to 3-4 days of riding/exploring. Excited to get out of the heat. And back to Colorado. FYI: A twin sized air mattress fits in the back of a Crew Max Tundra once the rear seats are removed. Stealth Camping...

I've got 30 days of PTO a year and have barely used any so far. I tend to not travel much when the weather is nice here, and then am constantly gone during the summer. Thanksgiving I will be down in Havasupai Falls, and looking into a late October Zion, Bryce, North Rim trip. But Moab is easy so just let me know and we'll make something happen

I can always head back. And I am down for some more Moab as well. I recommend Whole Enchilada if you have the chops for some 30 miles of Tech. I would be down to do it again. And I bet I can get a few other guys to roll as well.

Whole enchilada is pretty damn fun! Only part i'm not too fond of is the jeep road section. Other than that, damn good fun.

Stuff and things to make glamorous camping faster and more enjoyable.
When will you be in the San Juans? We're driving from here to Denver by dirt roads, passing through Moab and Ouray on the way. Leave Phoenix on the 7th and probably be in Ouray around the 12th. Still ironing out details and time.

That's the spot I'm thinking about hitting.

Only I just remembered I'm getting gears on Thursday so I'm not sure hauling up to payson is best for them.

Yeah I want to use them going up there. But everything I read says 20 miles at a time then let them cool for the first 100 miles, then 50 miles at a time and let them cool until 500 miles. The whole first 500 miles are supposed to be easy going with no high stress. I'm just worried pushing my 35's with a bed full of gear up some big ass hills may be a bad idea.

That's why I'm not doing mine until after we get back.. I would wait if I were you.. last thing you want is to ruin those gears or worse for just a weekend trip up north.

Yeah that's kinda what I'm thinking. Unless zuk thinks it's fine, I'm not gonna risk it.
