Depends on a lot of things for me, but I like both. Sometimes a splash of water or an ice cube or two helps bring out the awesomeness of a bourbon or rye.

Been on a long run of drinking good whiskey neat lately, though.

Drink it fast enough and it's not a problem
High end stuff just needs chilled. No ice. But Id rather not drink jack without a mixer either cause it's not that good

I buy it to get drunk. If I want something nice I'll go buy balvinie (but that's scotch, sooo good)

Eagle rare is one of my favorite whiskeys

Eagle Rare is by far my favorite bourbon for the price. Almost as good as Blanton's, and a lot less expensive.

I'm not a huge scotch guy, but I have a Balvenie single barrel that is really damn good.

Both eagle and Blanton's are made at the same place too, lol.

The 14 year Caribbean casket is my favorite

Sorry, I forget those are very important.

That also gives me an idea...

Should have specified a moderately priced cooler. My coleman has been fine for me for years and it was 60 dollars.

I also don't have the time to go on longer than a couple days for trips so it hasn't been an issue.

Got one. It's great for one or two day trips. I put a tupperware full of ice in it the night before and everything going in comes right out of the fridge at home.

Girlfriend got me whiskey stones for my scotch and whiskey. Soap stone cubes you keep in the freezer. I still like one ice cube sometimes.

I just got a Dometic CFX 65dz and was wondering what temperatures you guys shoot for in your fridges? It will be mostly breakfast foods and meat. All the drinks will be in a regular cooler.

I have my CF50 set to 29° and it keeps it at 31°. Keeps drinks and food nicely chilled without freezing them.

I have mine set to 2C. You can tell that's just above freezing because it's a slightly larger number than 0. So it keeps things chilly but not frozen.
