I washed it. No wax. Hand dried it. Now it's raining.... But at least the mud is off of it for this evening anyway.

    DIY Bed-extender:
ABS pipe (cemented) & hardware from Home Depot; then ran a heavy-duty steel chain thru the middle (which attaches to the tailgate hooks when extended) to take most of the load-weight.

@KB Voodoo any benefit to the premium rack versus the standard rack? From what i can tell, the premium's beefier with thicker steel. But both can carry "whatever you can throw on it." What's the weight difference between the two?

The weight difference is close to double. If you're putting it on a Tacoma, the standard rack is more than sufficient.

I think you can. You should be able to order individual pieces. I was going to order regular red stitching throughout but like the minimal red stitching instead.

Yeah I actually just got mine the other day. And I'm due for my 15k checkup. When I do get to it I want them to do the transmission fluid check as well. I know these are going to take some time but I'm holding out because my wife is due to have our son any day now. I'm curious if I'm inbetween 15-20k if they will just do the 20k service w/ oil change. If I remember correctly 20k is the last free one they do right? Also in regards to the recall, I haven't seen any leakage at the moment but who knows. Wonder if they'd give me a Rental tacoma till it's done, guess I'll have to call. I just don't like leaving my truck at the dealership. I see every new mark they leave on my black paint everytime it's there. :frusty::bananadead:

I performed a health check on my truck. Strange that it has 6000 mi and the evap has not completed it's monitor. Shows incomplete. O well. CA smog for newer vehicle 1 incomplete monitor is still a pass.
And I changed the turn signal blink time from 3 blinks to 5 blinks.

And I disabled the seat belt chime for driver.

hi. In regards to the leaking diff, I had problems with my diff from very early on soon after purchase. I had to return the truck back to the dealership within first month when my truck stalled on the freeway when the diff locked up while I was going around 60. I had complained about the leaking diff to them the first week itself after I bought it, and I was told that it's a non-issue, and that the oil will dry up quick. Well it didn't and made a mess of my driveway. To me, my truck is my daily driver,.. i got to get to work, so I kept driving it. Life is busy. In the end I got to use my road side assistance for the first time, called dealership, they send me a tow truck, got my brand new truck of less than 30 days towed away. I got it back more than a month later. I was given a corolla sport to drive around for that duration. I could've invoked the lemon law clause we have here in CA, but then what. I still needed a truck for my truck needs. When I got my truck back, it had a brand new diff this time. This morning I took my truck in for 10K service, along w. the recall notice. And they inspected it, and said it's all good. No leaks, but they did re-torque all the bolts on it. I was told however that they cannot disable the door chimes and seat belt chimes >.< They did put my new metal oil filter cap and fumoto drain valve instead of the stock plastic ones though.

Does it stick out wide enough to prevent door dings OP from cars parked next to you?
