Now that you put it that way, makes perfect sense. I'm learning a lot from this build thread.

I had a tube and fin cooler, but it wasn't recommended for HA, so I gave it to @deeezy to add to his stock steering system. He's running 35s and he actually had his system fade on him when wheeling. Hopefully it will make a noticeable difference on his next trip. It also adds a supstantial amount of fluid to the system which helps in cooling.

I was hoping you'd say, that you were going to custom machine one with a spiral twist. That would be so siiiick!

Hahaha! That would be a lot of machining!

This is true. BUT it would be amazing. haha, however after time and cost, you could have probably daisy chained like 10 of the normal ones together.

You know what it means

I'm leaving tabs on the fender so I can attach a fender liner of some kind later on. I made a little cardboard stencil for it. Then I drilled the tabs out. Easier to drill before cutting since the fender is more solid. I used a #2 solid carbide center drill to start. I also drilled out all the inside corners for a nice radius. Sharp inner corners can tear sheet metal.
    IMG_2406.jpg
Then opened them up with a unibit or step drill. Nothing better for drilling holes in sheet metal.

Throwing sparks! No guard or gloves, but wearing eye and ear protection  I'm only putting light pressure anyway, and I'm always aware of where my hands are on the grinder.
    IMG_2422.jpg
    Hopefully this is enough!
    IMG_2412.jpg
My tab bending setup. Just some beveled aluminum weld test plates and a c clamp.
    IMG_2414.jpg
    Worked great!
    IMG_2415.jpg

    IMG_2417.jpg
I even managed to put some bends in the forward brace so I can reuse it. Makes a huge difference.
    IMG_2419.jpg
Not done yet, I'm pretty sure you know what that straight line means :D

Kinda late, but when I cut mine I plan to fold it outward (tabs), that way the flares have some sort or support. Thoughts?

I'm planning on making rub bars around my fenders, and my flares will attach to that. I'm also going to try and make my fender liner and flare out of one big piece of rubber or some kind of formable plastic.

You just gotta remove the 3 sheet metal braces that I'm touching in the pic. It's only like 8 10mm nuts. Also should put some blue tape on the lens so it doesn't get scratched by the hoop. Still a bit of a pain, but not nearly as bad as removing the bumper.
