Yeah that's what I'm looking at. I think regardless I'd have to stop a few times on the way up. Not sure it's worth it, considering hat it's going to be busy as hell up there this weekend too.

May just stay home and finally build a new front bumper

Awesome. Any recommendations of amps and speaks since you seem to be the audio guru? Not looking to thump and vibrate. I mostly listen to rock and metal. Just want a little better sound quality coNeared to the jbl setup.

Your house come with a pool or did you put one in? If you put one in, what company? My wife wants a pool so I told her we could get quotes but I don't want the added expenses.

Really depends on how much you want/willing to spend. Name brand amps/speakers typically do the job for a decent price. Pioneer, alpine, rockford, kicker all sound about the same when it come to their entree level stuff IMO. Low end amp/speakers can sound ok with proper tuning but I don't suggest it. Even though the JBL system is flat and dull it still sounds better than a low end setup like BOSS.

I've always ran pioneer in the past so that's what I was thinking of sticking to. As for an amp, would a 200watt suffice? Sorry, this is al a foreign language to me lol. Never really got into the audio scene. Always had friends in the past recommend stuff and install it for me. But in turn I would turn their brakes or hange oil or other small maintenance tasks

My neighbors are from Iowa and they make cheese curds that squeak when you eat them. They are amazing! Teakwoods has pretty good cheese curds as well.

If the power is clean you can push speakers way past their RMS wattage. So it depends on which pioneer amp and speakers you get. You can match the speakers RMS when buying an amp or over power them. How much you can overpower depends on the speakers and amps.

If you want to link me the amp and speakers I can tell you if it's a good match or not.

    Hey Colby

A thread idea for you to start (would help me and probably some others)

Put together some "packages" of amps, door speakers and subs that work well together and hit different price ranges. Include links and stuff to the products.

Maybe some links to good wiring kits for them too?

I've been wanting to redo my system but just don't have time to play mix and match.

    Just an idea!

Ok. Thanks for the info. Ill look for a front set. Haven't seen any tweeters that will fit without being modified.

I have thought about doing this, the issue is everyone will come in and shit on each package and give a million reasons as to why it won't work. The other thing I run into is that audio is so subjective to each person that one person will listen to a setup I've built and love it, the other will say it's decent or not like it at all. Some people want super loud and full of bass, other just want bass, some just want clarity and could care less about thump. Then there is sound deadening (which is another can of worms) There are too many combo's to list and I think it would turn into a huge shit storm fast. That's why I just answer everyone questions about audio so I can create a setup that they'll like and try to save them a few bucks in the process.

But if you want we can sit down and figure out a system.

Modification is required to put aftermarket speakers and tweeters in. You'll need adapter rings for font/rear/tweeters no matter what speakers you go with.

As for the amp, you need to match the speakers RMS (Or more) otherwise you'll under power them and they won't get loud.

Ok got it. I did notice the rms on bother speakers and amp. And I saw that a lot of these speaker through crutchfield come with free adapter plates. Site did say that 6 1/2" would be direct fit while 6x9's needed modifying even though the jbl system comes with 6x9's

    Amp: not enough power.
Tweeters: Unless you want to power them directly with an amp (you don't) then you'll want a component set of speakers. This comes with a crossover and tweeters.
    Rears: Those are fine.
