Man, it looked like Los Angeles in the 70's here in Albuquerque yesterday, the smoke was so thick. My heart goes out to all the fire-fighters working around the state right now.

Super last minute need to get out for the 4th weekend. Anyone got any input for locations? Doesn't matter if its trails or just campsites. Fri-tue looking maybe near Chama. Mountains, cooler weather, and so on.

I saw that same thing a day or two ago. I thought it was interesting that both of those are still showing up on CL. Seems like listings like that usually get deleted pretty quick.

I remember seeing the 4Runner that stuff came off of listed months back. It was a rolled 2.7L the guy was trying to get rid of

Oh did you? Haha yeah they are usually gone pretty quick.
So was the 4Runner actually stolen or is that person making it up?

I am almost positive I know the owner of the 4 runner. It is not stolen he works for a security firm and the tow yard has the right to sell any vehicle after x amount of time. He ended up purchasing this 4 runner and the previous owner ended up calling on the ad and confirmed it was his old vehicle then called the police. But the tow yard gave the new owner a newer title to the vehicle wich in turn proved it was the new owners property.

Update. To confirm it is not a stolen vehicle. I do personally know the owner. He purchased from the tow yard and has all documentation to confirm legal purchase. Police have been involved and confirmed it was not stolen. Via vin check title and bill of sale. The kings have been used the ucas would definetly need bushing a new uniballs. I would rebuild the kings to be safe as they look like they have seen some pretty good use of off-roading.

    Oh wow! Crazy.
Yeah thinking about it now, I don't want to spend the money on them or rebuild/ don't need kings (be pretty badass though..). The ucas would be sweet but used/buying new parts would probably be more than I would want to spend when I already have new ubjs waiting in my garage

No drama here. I would just like fellow members to know the whole story of the parts being sold since there was some confusion.

Yeah I wouldn't buy them either if I had a new set in the garage!

But then again, I could buy these, sell my new ubjs (then wouldn't have to deal with replacing them on the stock uca) then could have a sweet midtravel upfront.

But then I'd have to do the rebuild on both the kings and ucas (would need help with that) and would need rear suspension and leafs then.. hmmm dunno

That doesn't sound to bad. Minus the I'm going to buy these parts but I'll need these parts as well haha. A possible good deal turns into an expensive project.

What does it typically cost to rebuild King CO's if you do it yourself? I've been considering switching from my Icons just to see what the difference is

Sweet. I'm considering this. Where'd you source the new seals from?

What do you guys think is a fair price for CO's that need a rebuild?
