Front diff drop kit needed????!!

    What I didn't like when my drop kit was installed was the fact that my skid plate was hanging down 1 inch lower than the back plate,also the diff attachment itself with the drop kit in was below the protection of the cross member ,so a rock hit on the 2 attachment arms could easily have busted them,causing a $1200 fix

    There is a complete write up on this topic, with angle finders, and a bunch of math. Side pics also. Every truck seems to be different, some a dropped more, some are less. All are about 1/8th inch.

    It just sounds to me like they didn't even bother trying to design a skid to work with a diff drop. Listen, we could go back and forth all day and nothing's gonna change. I ran a drop on my last tacoma and plan on running one on this one too. There is no definitive proof either way and it comes down to personal preference.
