I was looking under the hood a couple of weeks ago and I noticed a small amount of leakage from the top of the battery, so I wetted the top and sprinkled on some baking soda and ten rinsed the battery off.

So a couple of days ago I went back to inspect the battery and there's sign of leakage again on the top.

Has anyone else had this problem with their battery. I will be taking my truck in for the 10k service in a couple of months and I'll have them address the issued then, and is the battery considered a warranty item.

If your battery is leaking I would not wait. The acid will run down and get in your wiring and cause all kinds of issues. if left long enough can eat up the Frame.i have seen it before in vehicles. I would take it in asap. Also is it actually battery acid or water from washing the truck? Battery acid you will know soon as you smell it.

Now that you mentioned could it be from washing the truck, that mat be what it's from, as when I put the baking soda on top of the battery there was no reaction like you normally get when it contacts acid, and I had just washed my truck not to long before I noticed it again.

Another thing that might point it being from washing the truck is that I'm on well water and then minerals in it can cause white residue to form, and then first time I saw it, it briefly crossed mine that it almost looked like water, and then when there was no reaction with the baking soda that also puzzled me, and there was no smell of acid which I know what it smells like.
