My hair alone takes half an hour

 

What, like to air dry?

 

Ummm no. First I take some of the moisture out, then I have to section it to round brush it, then style it

 

That sounds like a lot of work just for hair. The GF just towels hers, combs it out and then braids it most days.


Edit- Although I did date a girl once who would towel it, blow dry it, comb it out, then add all sorts of gel and sprays and stuff. That took her a while to do, but I never timed it.

 

I've always been really into hair. Having friends who own a salon helps too so I can get cost on all my products

 

Sometimes I use bar soap on my hair, if I've run out of shampoo

Meh. I doubt that occasionally using bar soap is going to cause much harm. I don't have any scalp problems like dry or oily skin, so I'm not too worried about it.

 

What happens is all that shit builds up on your scalp and starts suffocating the fair follicles. That's why treatments for thinning hair is about improving the health of your scalp. I use nioxin periodically to help get all the shit I use off my hair, and it feels so much smoother after

Where I don't really put anything in my hair, it's probably less of a problem for me. If I lose my hair it'll be through genetics. About half of the men on both sides of my family end up bald, so it's a coin toss either way, lol.
