not much. we started at shoemaker ridge road just below the yellow section, and did almost all of that... remember, without stops, scott, mike, and i made it all the way back through that section in 30 minutes. given a full day, i'm sure we could do a significant amount

I may try and get some steels for wheeling. Get these powder coated and keep for road driving.
Or just say fuck it and keep what I got and when they get really bad, worry about it then.

Stopping less for 4-wheelers and RZRs would help that too. I'm sure we could've done it in about half the time with the whole group

What seems like a million miles at a slow leisurely pace may only be 8 or 10 miles..

Next trip, if I go, we aughtta go do the section some of us did in April. It links up to the "Zachariah Road" trail. A little more challenging, but nothing too severe. Where we turned left off Hwy 11, this went right....Northeast.... We turned around before getting that far, but it would have eventually led to Carb Hill and Widowmaker. It was on the fringes of the new Hollerwood ORP.

Just up the crick from camp, where camp was last year, I was told up the hill was the Zachariah. We should've tried it.
However, @mwc273 said at the top is a pretty good ditch that crosses the road and can be hard on a vehicle. Rather get that out the way early I guess

its a lot of work and money up front but the tires and sway bar really transform the truck from a daily driver to an offroader. i'm really happy with my at3's on the road and bfg km2's off road. again, it cost money up front, and time to swap everything out, but it makes it a different truck for daily driving/towing/hauling. even with how much praise i give it, i still debate doing it the next time around... entirely up to you and how you use your truck if the time and effort is worth the handling/mileage

    100% agree on both fronts!

In my head: Factory wheels with Grabber at2's for non-offroad, steels with Grabber X3's for offroad. If only we had quick connects for the sway

Brent may remember the paved road we turned off of by name, but I can remember it by sight. There was a dozen different trails that branched off and went in multiple directions. Most were marked. (signs) We went in about 5 miles, ran into a rather intimidating mud hole and turned 180 degrees and headed back out. No winch with us....We met up with a few sideXsides....So a popular trail.

you could try just disconnecting it from the spindle but you may risk damaging your outer axle boot, or something else. safer to just remove

True. I forget these things when I wanna wheel lol
So...what you're saying is that you didn't go on the trail where I'm talking about and don't know how bad it is either
    That's the route I took

If it was the same trail, it was the opposite end. We wouldn't have made it that far.

We weren't really geared up for a major expedition. A cooler with a few drinks....Brent was camping with friends in the Gorge area, and we met another truck with 2 guys out of Michigan. We decided not to go any farther. Total time in the woods was about 2 hours. It was wetter than this past weekend. It had rained 4 or 5 days prior, and was still raining when we met up at Miguels that morning.
