I had a rav4 before i got switched out to a camry and that thing was uber sensitive. I'd barely start to pull the steering wheel right and the rav4 takes a sharp right.

Hope you have better succes driving it man.

Speaking of watch, Takata declared bankruptcy yesterday, so guess it wasn't built into their calculations either.

While I'm sure they make a reasonable estimate to total possible warranty claims in all their vehicles, recalls of this size almost undoubtedly eat into the bottom line. If there are multiple issues that affect this proportion of owners, the results start making real impacts. Hopefully there aren't more though because I want to drive my truck, not random Rav4s!

They certainly aren't being crafted by incredibly skilled bare-chested maidens whose beauty is only outshined by their manufacturing skills.

    Well gents,

Looks like my Tacoma had an issue with the differential. Toyota won't let me drive it off the lot, and all their loaner cars are being used. They have a contract with Enterprise, but they're afraid I can't rent with them as I am not yet 25 (yes, this is my vehicle that I worked for myself thank you very much. The good Lord blessed me with a great job). May have to put some miles on something from their new inventory whether they like it or not. We'll see how this goes...

Took my truck in this morning to get the 10k service done and recall inspection. Got a call back that my truck is ready and found no leaks on the rear diff. They re torqued the bolts and also courtesy torqued all my other suspension parts :bananadance:on top of that, the service guys all said I had one of the best looking Tacomas they've seen come in in a while...and they have a lot go by :cool:

It's definitely not a bad ride, but I certainly miss my truck. lol

My only complain about the Rav (at least the one I got), is the braking is terrible, IMO. Especially for a vehicle this small.

Took my truck back to the dealer this morning and they confirmed that the rear end is seeping. They re-torqued the nuts per Toyota and cleaned it all off but here's a pic of what mine looked like

My VIN doesn't come up under the recall but they told me they've been seeing a lot more that aren't on list and letting Toyota Corp. know that they're seeing more and more. It will be covered under warranty though

Yes here's what it looks like now and I'm not all to worried about it because I was a drivetrain tech for almost 20 yrs and this is really nothing, but I am going to keep an eye on it for sure

good deal man. I've got VERY slight weep marks, 4 of them, they've been
there for a few months, unchanged. I am on the recall list.

I check it a few times a week, I left it and didn't clean so I could see
if anything changes.....nothing. I don't plan on touching them, if it gets
    worse I'll take it in.

Was your truck pouring fluids out the rear diff? Leaving spots in the driveway?
