Is the light bar DOT approved for driving light use? No, none of them really are. If you use them responsibly they will likely never get you pulled over.

    The fine?

I use spots, driving bar, and ditch lights every night. I like to see them critters from far away. Elbert county cops don't have a problem with the lights as long as you don't blind them. They probably wish they could put more lights on their vehicles.

i got pulled over by a san miguel sheriff for using my light bar in the middle of the night, i flicked it off immediately - once i saw him on a pulloff on the pass.
he told me about the height limit(54in??) for white light, etc.

What I was told by apd is that anything under the headlights is fair game (no more than 4 running) but anything above 4" above your headlights is not street legal. Use your best judgement though and kill the lights when there are cars but you should be fine imho don't quote me though

So it sounds like since it is a bumper light bar it should be ok as long as I am not a dick about it. The thing is blinding so I think it is in everyones best interest to turn it off and avoid a head on collision

Close.. elken. :p two little babies, the other one didn't have spots though. Probably ten cows.

Driving home just a few minutes ago... two HUGE elk. I knew they'd probably have run off if i stopped for a picture, but they had impressive racks. I thought they were massive statues at first.

So i recently put on Toytec 3" 2.0 lift. I feel a very slight pulsating vibration under drivers side floor board. Did some looking around sounds like the needle bearing. Have any of you installed the ecg bushing? Does this actually fix the problem? If i dont replace the needle bearing will this cause more problems down the line or is it just going to be an annoying vibe?

That is at Pikes Peak Speedway. VW is leasing that space to hold all of the Buybacks from the falsified emissions settlement. There are thousands sitting there, and I think they just prepared more ground for them.

Can't say if it will fix your particular vibration, but my truck had a vibration since brand new before it was lifted. My needle bearing was bad, and it was installed from the factory incorrectly. One would think Toyota would fix the issue, but it's totally possible to be the issue on your truck.

When trying to figure out if it was the issue, my vibration did not change when putting it into 4 hi like it typically does for others, but i think that's because mine was seated way too far.

Have a blind hole bearing puller on hand just in case yours was installed incorrectly like mine. The special tool didn't work for me.

My thoughts would a bit different as you are feelng this through the floor board and not the steering wheel. Or is it both? What UCA's did you put on with the lift? Typically feeling it on the floor board is something transferring through the frame to the cab.

Ya mine started right after the lift around 20 to 50 mph then it goes away at higher speeds cant hear but you can feel it. Looked at drive shaft looks nice and straight. I installed the shims with the kit. Tried the diff drop made no difference. The cv is loose but that seems to be common. So not sure

Reading that reply above about the speeds and only feeling it through the gas pedal I am going with the driveshaft angles. Have you tried a carrier bearing drop kit?
