Thanks! I'm actually glad I screwed up the emblem and bezel and ran out of dip, they look great contrasting the bumper.

All men should own an axe and a shovel... It's a requirement to be considered a grown man.

Which would lead me to beards.... But these days every hipster with skinny jeans, beanies, and e-cigs sticking out their flannel pockets are growing beards...

There should be rules to growing a beard...

Own an e-cig but no axe or shovel? No beard for you!

Wear skinny jeans? No beard for you!

Don't eat meat? No beard for you!

Hands as soft as a womens? No beard for you!

Buy your pants with holes already in them? No beard for you.

Cant fell a tree, start a fire without a lighter, catch fish, pitch a tent, build a shelter, clean a deer, change a tire, or grow a crop... Dammit you dont deserve a beard!!

Being a man is a spectrum okay. There are many definitions to what it means to be a man. Just like there is a spectrum for genders.

I'm kidding....that was hard to type. I can do all those things. Except for the soft hands part, my hand sweats like a mofo. So they are always nice and soft.

I can perform all these actions, refuse to wear skinny jeans, wear flannel only when it's cold outside, and still keep clean shaven (during the week) because the missus prefers it. Doesn't make me any less manly than a "bear wearing people clothes."

I have a Thule bed-rack that I bought several years ago for my Tundra, which is now gone. I'd love to attach it to the Tacoma and it appears essentially identical to yours, except for the base pieces. Do you know whether it's possible to order just those bases separately? If so, do you know a part #?

For the new version of the Xsporter bed rack that I have, you also need the XK4 adapters which are separate. They are brackets that clamp the bases onto the OEM Tacoma bed rails. They are 3rd gen specific (they also have 2nd gen clamps). They are different than the standard clamps that come with the bed rack.

I'm not sure if those clamps also work with older versions of the bed rack or if you need different clamps or different bases. It may be good to call Thule or one of their retailers to ask. I'm sure they can easily tell you what you need.

Thanks! I bought mine about 5 years ago from a good local retailer, so will take a hard look at it and pay them a visit. The rack I have looks the same as yours except for the attachment apparatus, so hopefully I'll be able to figure something out.

I don't have a full beard, rather a van dyke cause the wife likes it that way.

I own several shovels and more than one axe. That said, they do not live in/on my Taco. I am older than many here and stay on pavement for the most part. I can bring down a tree, start a fire in multiple different ways without using a light or flint if need be. I don't wear sknny jeans. Although in college jeans were tight, double starched 501s. Frankly, even those could put the twins in a bit of a bind , but the ladies back then loved men wearing them :D.

As far as I am concerned the best food on earth comes with 4 legs and hooves. :hungry: Feathers and fins are OK from time to time. I am a second hand vegitarian. News to vegitari-gans.... that means my food eats yours.

Taught my son and both my daughters (before they were allowed to get thier DL) how to drive a stick, pull thier own vehicle out of or avoid most problem situations, check fluids, change oil, and of course change a tire. By themselves, no help from Dad, no phoning a friend, no tripple A, etc.

Yeah, I am a beast of a dad to make pretty girls do those things as well as my son can. But, I can also say my youngest girl could suvive most situations better than her husband who was army trained, and a hipster $#T%$. :censored: Guess I could not teach the girls taste. o_O

Now.. back to our regularly scheduled 3rd gen mod and use thread. :burnrubber:

According to tracking the intake arrives tomorrow... Which is great because Thursday i will be driving a good 2.5 hours each way for my pup's final lesson and graduation from off leash obedience.

There will be interstates, stop and go city driving, and small country roads. Should be able to get a good idea of how the cai performs.

I just filled up my tank yesterday. I'm not driving anywhere today. So I'll post these pictures here before i even get the cai so we all can actually see if it increases fuel economy any. That's not the reason i bought it but lots of reviews have stated "increased mpg".. We will find out!

This is the best tank average i have got so far. It includes both on road and off road driving. The last tank was 20.4 and they have all been 20 point something.
