Just launched a email that could possibly go nuclear against another manager who has repeatedly failed to address required expectations of accuracy, instead focusing all energy on meeting timelines that guarantee her bonuses. As a result, not only have none of her personnel received bonuses, she's actually punishing them for not meeting expectations. Further, she's not focusing energy on correcting any of the inaccuracies, repeatedly stating "we'll do it later." She has also created an environment of fear among her personnel, committing subtle acts of reprisal against those people who try to do it the right way instead of her way.

Senior management came to me for a separate confirmation. I gave them some "enlightening feedback" with the support of my own boss.

You know that law that states poor managers can be fired from the VA? I found them a candidate. Fingers crossed!

No, they don't. Dr. Schulkin is focusing energy on the areas that actually need fixing. It's awesome.

Sounds like my day-to-day as well. I'm constantly lighting bombs for under-performing managers.

Sorry. Some folks here were actually pissed when he was released and Bob McDonald brought in. After a few months they changed their tune.

We all love Doc S. Focused on the veteran, STILL SEEING PATIENTS, and replacing the 40+ year old garbage systems with modern ones that will actually integrate with DoD, Medicare, and all medical partners without having to frankencode specialty connection platforms. After what will amount to be a multi-billion dollar outlay to replace these systems, they'll actually save time, money, and effort in the long run.

My dad, a disabled vet (Navy) living in Buda, has changed his tune on the VA recently- they seem to have really stepped up their game.

It's amazing what happens when you get permission to hire for much-needed vacancies and cut loose dead weight. Plus, the Austin CBOC is the best in Texas.

I agree whole heartedly my recent appts have been a lot more pleasurable. You can tell patient care has improved vastly here in Temple an the senior vets that are patients you can tell they don't feel like cattle an have commented to me as well about it just bsing in the waiting room.

Which dealer? AutoNation South Austin has mine, and I just got an update email yesterday that parts are on the way.
