My first car was a 1981 Toyota Cressida. Used to offroad it in this park near my neighborhood (I was 16, dumb, etc.) and would nail this mound of dirt and get close to jumping that thing. It weighed a metric dickton and was just a tank.

It seems most of the jack stands I'm finding on Amazon are too short-- to include the 6 ton jack stands which are more than adequate for our trucks.

What brand/rating jack stand do you guys use that's tall enough to support our 2nd Gen Tacos??

6 ton for me. If I need them taller I throw them on cinderblocks with a wood platform.

The harbor freight 6 tons are great. Probably going to be on sale for the holiday for about $40.

Actually they are $35 until 6/30/17

    Yeah the best I'm seeing are 15" - 23"
    Amazon has em for $60...

Harbor Freight has some for $45 but I've heard they sometimes carry unreliable products and the last thing I wanna cheap on are jack stands especially since I'll probably have em for life

I have the 6 tons from harbor freight and theyre amazing. Yes, some of their stuff is garbage, but a lot of it is good too. I have a lot of their tools, and so far only their heat gun has let me down....it caught on fire.

Well, it produced heat. Can't really fault them for that.

When I returned it and told the woman why, it didn't even phase her.

Probably the first time she's had something returned for operating at higher than factory spec...

It's pretty well made. Came black glossy but I painted flat over it. I think I remember seeing silver or chrome too.
