Anyone in here interested in a road shower 2? Pics below. Figured I'd check local before I make a proper thread for it. Thinking $175 for TW. Probably bump it higher on CL.

I might be interested. What is the capacity?

4 gallons, though I never actually tested it by measuring. I used it primarily after surfing/beach trips and a couple times camping. For 4 gallons, it always seemed to last longer than I expected. Granted, while camping I would keep showering to a minimum to preserve water. I also carried a small electric bike pump to repressurize the tank periodically. I loved having the pressurized water during camping to hose of the dishes before washing in a wash bucket.

Do you have to pressurize it multiple times? It seems like the first gallon or 2 might come out with pressure but the last 1 would trickle out.

You have to re-pressurize if you want a harder stream. Basically, you fill it with 4 gallons and pressurize. As you use water, the air pressure decreases since there is now more air in the tank so you repressurize it back to 25 psi or so. I found that first pressurizing lasts a little more than a gallon, second one almost drains the tank and I would usually just let gravity do the last gallon. You don't even have to pressurize it if you don't want to and just use it as a gravity flow type of tank, but kind of defeats the benefit/purpose of the tank IMO.

The Road Shower 2 would be a good buy. I had one also and it worked great. I only got rid of it because I'm upgrading to a DIY 24-gallon (two 12-gal tanks) water system for showers, dishes, and so forth. For the Road Shower, I just carried a small bike pump and pumped it 2-3 dozen times before use and it worked great. Just be careful though if you're going to mount it on your roof, the water can get real hot on sunny days.

You can make fucking coffee with that water in the desert. I tried one after a race one time and pretty sure it was boiling, I think steam was coming out of the nozzle!! But it had been basking in the sun for about 7 hours. And it was about 100 degrees in the shade so...that may be a contributing factor. They work great under normal conditions.

Hey Kris, I still gotta get that mat from ya! Shit I forgot...

Yea, haha; it's just sitting in its packaging collecting dirt/dust in my garage. I'd drop it off but I really never come up that way ..until I eventually go to you to get my regearing done.

Would a small viair compressor be too much for it? Or would you just have to watch the psi carefully.

Just got my OME suspension (no leafpack), snorkel and CB radio stuff in the mail. Anyone have a garage/driveway/field space and feel like lending a hand (or not)?

compressor would work fine. You don't really have to pay too much attention to the psi b/c it uses a pressure release cap, so once you hit too much psi it just releases the additional pressure.
