There is a small one on the temp guage. It's heats up and comes undone. It only happens in warm climates and as we know we live in hell. I did my temp guage 4 times before I switched to the rear view mirror. That resistor is small as fuck and a pita to do.

On another note I stopped at 3am last night doing the system install. To tired to focus. Hope to finish tonight and blow my eardrums out on the way to Maiden tomorrow.

This @XPOTRPR If we need to get a group to go up there and help them pack stuff up and move it somewhere I'm ready to go. Well after I brush my teeth and put pants on, then I'll be ready to go.

Interesting. I've never had this issue but I'd like to more know about it. I've never seen my solder melt and if it gets that hot something is way wrong. There should be a solid fix for it.

Sounds like you are making good progress on the stereo! I love that shit, just not when it's this hot.

Yeah, but there are three of the DC-10 super-tankers flying around.

My wife has family in Mayer, trying to see if they need help getting stuff out too.

They 747-200 is bigger and faster, so I don't think you can refer to the DC-10 as a Super-Tanker. At least not in the conversation.

I can tell you that I won't be hearing any rattles. I have sound proofed everything. I even added felt tape to all the joining plastic parts. Even put felt tape on the adjustable seatbelt dohiki thingamagig.

I could make one but it's not 100% done yet so I haven't, it's only taken them 3-1/2 weeks to build this one but it's stupid simple with no fancy shit except for a vfd pump and led lightning with a automated panel.

hahaha.. Thanks guys. I appreciate it.

This is definitely the most threatening fire we've had up there... going to be an interesting next few days to see where it moves. Regardless, its gonna burn some peoples homes.. :pout: Mayer is the big one.. that will be no bueno at all. schools, ranch's, tons of old homes.

@Chipskip whats the last name?? I might know them.. small world.

I'm gonna buy some samples once I get paid back by a friend. Your garage + my previous experience with other vinyl, maybe we can knock out some budget TW wraps.
Only problem is I have yet to find a place that does color match wraps to match a Toyota paint code...

Resistors of too low a wattage rating will heat up like mad under the wrong loads. Wouldn't surprise me if they would come unsoldered.
