Anyone have a hookup on some firewood in the Santa Cruz area? Looking to grab some before heading out to wawona on the 6th.

Good to hear he is going to be alright. Ted is an awsome dude. I have met him a few times and his dog. I hope for a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear Teds gonna pull through. Makes all other activities seen so trivial when someone you know has a brush with death.

So..... here's some trivia. While on my photo safari we were 98% confined to vehicles. What were those vehicles? They were highly modified diesel engine Toyota Land Cruisers. They really needed a set of those Kings shocks, though. Lot of washboard type roads in the savannah.

Not enough to have a build thread.

I'm just down the street from them. let me know what I can do to help. I'm not above bringing some premade casseroles that they just need to throw in the oven or something

And of course, if the wife/gf is away, the OTPHJ. If he can handle it.

    Think I found the popping!

I was gonna start disassembly today but had an idea before I started to take off torque on the lca bolts. As soon as I barely broke torque the cam tab rotated I then snugged it and tried to get the popping sound to come back and it's gone. So some how my lca was binding on the driver side. Still going to switch out the bushings and beef it up but at least I know where the pop was coming from. It was definitely getting worse too I was hearing it on every hard corner on the way to downieville and feeling it through the pedals

Sigh. Replaced my rear diff, got one axle shaft in no problems, the other side I realized I'd forgot to check the axle seal, pull it back out, O ring is sheared. FML. Don't have time to go grab a new one today, guess I'm taking the bike in. Will try again tomorrow.

Yeah, that must have been what was making all that noise. Probably could have got another 50k miles on it, but decided I wanted a quieter ride.

Processing photos all day today. Here's one of three lion cubs feasting on a zebra. The one to the far left was late to the party.

In before NorCal Safari Pics and BS Thread complaints! :bananadead:

Sweet pics Don, looks like a lifetime bucket list trip. A bit surprised you went to Africa and didn't hunt, though. :notsure:
