Went to a beer league hockey tournament in Smashville Highly recommend this place. Was able to get the opportunity to visit the Preds practice locker pretty cool.

 

It's a shame the Cup isn't there to see lol jk jk.

That would be fun. Cool pics. NHL rink's ice is always a treat. I've played at old Mellon and PPG (Consol at the time). It is a lot of fun to play at a facility that the pros use.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings take a shot at Yakupov. They need more offense and don't have the money or pieces for another blockbuster deal. A shot in the dark for league minimum might do it.

 

Playing with Kopi ... a versatile winger like him would hopefully bump up the goal total to the twenties at least. Is he not fitting in with SL ?

 

Nice to see Dave Andreychuk and Mike Ricci make the HHOF. Both excellent players who had to wait for a few giants to get through the door before they did.

Yeah, I read today too that the league okayed the Sens making a three way trade to get him back but that the teams who were going to play monkey in the middle wanted an excessively high cost to play that part.

Lou was interviewed by TSN this morning and basically said there is a price the Leafs won't pay for mediocre defensemen. Pretty much answers that the Leafs were in on Hamonic but once the Isles made it clear they wanted a boat load of picks the Leafs weren't interested.

 

Wonder if Pens sign Schultz or if he gets paid? He has proven himself to be a pretty legit player. He even was impressive QBing the PP unit. I feel like someone will give him $ but we will see. If Shattenkirk gets a big contract, that might drive Schultz's price up too, or vice-versa?

 

Agents always draw parallels even when they aren't there. I remember when Brad Richards got paid by the Rangers and all of a sudden every center in the league who could move the puck wanted double the term or double the money that was paid the year before. I'm sure with the deficit of good defense available league wide that someone will give him a stupid amount of money.

Well the only bright side is, if they get him, he'll be on a winner ! Might even step up his production, especially when they play the teal northern knobs.

 

Kings were in 22nd place at the end of the regular season and couldn't even make the playoffs this year, and only won 1 game in the playoffs last year, so...

 

... even if you win the division and choke, as per usual duckies and the teal, might mean a good season but still a loser.

LA will win it again before those two clown teams.
