Supercharger

I do give a shit if it's CARB approved... Hell, don't sell/ship to California, label it for "Off-Road use only" whatever it takes.

My URD y-pipe, exhaust, intake... None of that is CARB compliant, and I don't care because I don't live in California.... And I just don't care.

 

yeah one of the many benefits of living in Texas. you can even own an AR15!

 

Ever since they discontinued it the price has been steady at 4900 give or take. Sucks. I really want it. =)

 

What was it like to go from stock to a supercharged tacoma on the 15's?

I thought I read somewhere on here that boosting the 3rd gen motor would be tricky due to it using Atkinson cycle..... Anyone else got more info?

 

Adding the super charger really wakes up the Tacoma. It makes it feel like this is how it should've come out from the factory. It is not super fast so don't expect a race car performance, but it is fast enough for a truck. You feel like you have the HP it needs to do its thing. Plenty strong to haul stuff, go up hills, take off from a stop, and quick acceleration. It is definitely fun to drive, gas mileage will go down. It varies from truck to truck. I currently get 14mpg. I've seen others get more. I think this is dependent on how the ECU is tuned.
