Actually its very illegal and a federal crime. If its an internet purchase it is tax free unless the purchase is made in the same state as the seller. Now maybe the seller has an outlet in those other states but the tax rate must be the rate of the state the purchaser is in.

 

Not legal. California's laws dont mean shit in the other 49 states. Its a federal crime to collect sales tax is this manner. Typical of that communist crap hole to try this.

They are plug and play! I just have never messed with headlights and preferred to just have them installed.

The boxes they ship in are very large, keep in mind the housing is about a foot long and 3/4ft wide per headlight. Its just the same as it would be if it were a GB for Pelfreybilt, lets say you say 15% on a bumper, in some cases depending on location it wouldn't even cover shipping. Just something to think about.

I just emailed the company and asked about their $40 shipping rate. It lists on the website that the headlights weigh 40 pounds, so I am hoping that it was a misprint on the website. Hopefully they will change it to a more reasonable shipping rate, so that I can feel okay ordering them. I will post up if they respond to me.

I will confirm the headlights are quite heavy and the boxes are large, but I don't know if it was 40lbs

 

Every other place on the internet that I have seen that sells the Spyder headlights, list them as a 20 pound item.
I work in retail, and ship large heavy boxes on a regular basis. I can ship with our ups account a set of ski boots across the country for far less money than they want for the headlights.
I am just enquiring with the company if their numbers are correct. I would love to save myself even more money. And if it saves others some money that's even better.

Im questioning the shipping rates as well... I have the headlights and taillights in my cart. It shows shipping weight is 90lbs = $85...
