So, I would like to share an idea with you guys and see what you think. I love the amber fog lights and have been looking into the vinyl wrap people do with them. I also love the OEM Pro fog lights. Would it be crazy, difficult, or useless to get the pro fog lights and wrap the light with the amber vinyl. Also, what vinyl would anyone who has done this in the past suggest. Thanks

    A few minor things...

Take it off, mask off the silver letters.

Prep the WHOLE thing with sand paper and smooth any scratches.

The next step is up to you...

either buy some rattle cans of matte black paint or take it to a body shop and beg them to spray it matte black for $20

You really can't fix matte paint well on a budget or easily without respraying the entire surface.

I'm sure they do, but only when the Miata in front of them waits .0003 seconds after the green to start going.

Wait, is that paint from gate or are the Pro grills not solid black plastic?

I tried rubbing it off and no joy so I'm guessing they are not solid black plastic I'll try some really fine sandpaper.

It was a white plastic gate so it very well could be from the gate. I haven't had much time to mess with it but yeah I too would think it would be black plastic. It has to be since mine had tabs broken off and they were black all the way through.

Ok that makes sense then. I was gonna say, I couldn't fathom the grill not being solid black. lol

There's a phone app that helps link your phone to the truck, and it updates the truck via bluetooth.
