I just feel like they gave a discount and then bumped the shipping price to make up for it.
I shipped headlights and taillights to a friend in Spain and it was cheaper than the $85 that they're quoting

Did not call. I emailed the address you provided in the first post. I did not mention having my own ups account in the email. Just wanted to inquire if it was a mistake since they list the lights as double what they actually weigh. I also did not mention this group buy.

I went on the site. Says they open at 10am PST, so not till 1pm here on the east coast. If I don't get a response I'll call them this evening.

ok so i called because i wanted to see if i could pick them up vs shipping (they do)

as for the shipping weight he tried explaining physical vs dimensional weight and apparently the boxes they use are real heavy and big from Fed Ex, and that's why the weight is listed as 40 LBS not sure if that helps but im just going to go drive and get them vs shipping so it don't bather me too much !

 

Wait I am confused. Is there a set for my 2011?

They do have a slightly different looking version available for the 2005 through 2011 Tacomas. They also cost a bunch less.

Found them, I don't think that is what I am looking for but thanks for the heads up.

 

If they are shipping the lights in the original Spyder packaging, they are packed VERY well. Each headlight is surrounded in a compression moulded (Great Stuff type hard foam in a bag), inside individual boxes, then those boxes are inside a big shipping box. As for the weight, I would say around 30lbs with the original packaging (4'x3'x3' ish box).

 

It does ship in the original packaging as that was how mine were when they unboxed it
