Found my oil leak
that hose barb on the return must have caused a bit of binding and wore thru... Hydrolic lines are replacing

that's my skid plate, just cutting it out from some IC air flow, V for vendetta style. had some issues with the plasma cutter last night it was flashing a fault code so had to try and figure out if the flashes were 1 second apart or 1.2 haha, I think it had a bad electrode or something but got it workin again. hopefully another night this week and maybe Saturday and ill be pretty close to wrapping this project up.

Might be able to get to the junkyard this weekend! We got some low summer temps coming in finally.

 

I'd like to change the sound of my truck without spending a lot of money on exhaust maybe a cheap flow master and 3 inch pipe after that has anybody done that and which muffler did you use

 

Do you want it for sound, performance? Both?

 

Yea it would be both unless it's too much then just sound

 

any straight through muffler is going to be superior performance wise to a chambered muffler, the guys on engine masters seem to lean towards the gibsons but they also almost exclusively run v8's so take that with a grain of salt I suppose. straight thru mufflers are typically cheaper also but almost always louder. I have something like this on mine and its pretty loud

I'm just 2.5" straight pipe, no cat. Performance and more sound.

I used a Gibson muffler on mine. 2.5" in and out. It's barely louder than the stock exhaust. Most people don't even notice it's aftermarket at all. It definitely allowed it to rev much smoother than the stock restricted exhaust. I'll post the link when I have chance

Stopped by a wrecking yard that is along my work commute. They would not give me the time of day when asking for specific parts. Parts he did have where crazy expensive. Doing swaps with OEM parts is a pain. Luckily the place I'm going to over the weekend has a pick a part. Probably would of been easier swapping in a T56 instead.

 

Don't have any facility similar to a Pick-A-Part there?
